Transparency is a key component in communication, relationships, and any work ventures. Personally and professionally, transparency should be crystal clear between individuals. Personally, transparency is so important with communicating ideas, showing emotion, and being able to build trust. Professionally, this trust that is built with transparency is make or break for companies and individuals. In the workplace with fellow employees or subordinates transparency is at the forefront of employees enjoying where they work and who they work for. Being governed by someone without any transparency makes work impossible and left struggling trying to work between the lines of guidelines your nontransparent boss relayed. Transparency among customers and other businesses is what allows for the customer life time retention and bringing trust to your brand and company.
